OXO 8-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker

OXO has engineered one fine coffeemaker, one of the few coffeemakers good enough to be certified by the Specialty Coffee Association as making gold-standard coffee. On top of that, the OXO coffeemaker can brew by the 8-cup carafe or by the single cup. It features precision brewing that controls water temperature, water volume and brewing time, along with a showerhead that distributes water evenly over coffee grounds. There's even an integrated bloom cycle that allows for optimal flavor extraction. 

Coffee brews into a double-wall, vacuum-insulated thermal carafe that keeps your coffee hot without a flavor-altering hot plate. The brew-through, pour-through lid on the carafe means you don't have to fuss with opening the lid before pouring, another step in retaining heat in the coffee. Or, you can brew up a single cup using the included single-serve accessory; just add a paper filter to the accessory and then place the accessory in the large basket to brew. In a typical thoughtful OXO touch, the machine is designed to accommodate both normal cups and tall travel mugs. Watch the video below to see how it all works.
